Wolfenstien: New Colossus Announced?
While no official announcement has been made, eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed an reference to a new Wolfenstien game. Bethesda’s opening sequence involved a PC boot-up style screen, which listed several Bethesda’s games such as the classic Doom games, 2016’s Doom, Wolfenstien 3D, Wolfenstien New Order, and Wolfenstien Old Blood. Also listed was the release date for each game. Located in the aforementioned list is the title; “New Colossus” , which can be found after Old Blood, and has “xx-xx-xx” listed as the release date. Dishonored 2
Finally, Bethesda closed out their conference with an in-depth look at Dishonored 2. The sequel to the much-loved 2012 original will primarily take place in a new location named Carnaca, the Jewel of the South—although the game will start and end in Dunwall. The game will be set 15 years after the first Dishonored, with Emily Kaldwell (now 25) as Empress, and Corvo as her protector. While players will be able to play as either Emily or Corvo, the gameplay exhibited focused solely on Emily, displaying some of her powers, all of which will be unique.
Showcased was Emily’s Mesmerize power—which focuses enemies on a specific point, allowing her to sneak by them unnoticed, Domino—a power that links the fates of several enemies, allowing for creative multi-kills, as well as another ability whereby Emily transformed into a shadow, acrawled along the floor, and then brutally disembowelled an enemy. Also showed off was a level that took place in a manor, in which both protagonists powers fail to work. Instead, you are required to flux between different times, solving puzzles to progress.
The game will release 11th November 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There is a collector’s edition available (pictured above), featuring Corvo’s Mask, and Emily’s Ring as the centerpieces. Additionally, those who pre-order the game will receive a free copy of Dishonored: Definitive Edition.
