Hello and welcome to Ground Punch’s round-up of all the latest MARVEL Film and TV news from San-Diego Comic-Con 2016. Below you will find trailers, posters, and all the latest information MARVEL announced from this year’s comic con. Due to the nature of these announcements, those not up-to-date on MARVEL films and TV shows should be wary of spoilers.

– FILM ANNOUNCEMENTS –
Doctor Strange
During this year’s Comic-Con, MARVEL revealed the second trailer for Doctor Strange, which will be in theatres from 4th November 2016. The mind-bending trailer offered our first look at Kaecilius (Played by Mads Mikkelsen), not to mention a bad-ass shot of Doctor Strange donning his cloak. The film will also feature Baron Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton).
Additionally, the official poster for the feature film was unveiled.
Spider-Man
MARVEL has announced the feature cast for Spider-Man’s first solo entry in the MCU. Spider-Man: Homecoming will star Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Zendaya as Michelle, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson, Laura Harrier as Liz Allan, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. The film will also feature Donald Glover, Tyne Daily, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Michael Keaton in undisclosed roles.
MARVEL also revealed that Vulture, the character that Keaton is rumoured to be playing, will be the main villain of the movie. Furthermore, they released concept art of Spider-Man fighting Vulture. Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently slated to hit theatres 7th July 2017.
Black Panther
MARVEL also revealed cast members for the upcoming film, Black Panther, which will begin filming in January next year. Luipta Nyong’o will star as Nakia, also known by the alias Malice. Danai Guira will star as Okoye, and Michael B. Jordan will star as Erik Killmonger. Finally, a revised logo for the film was revealed. Black Panther is currently slated to hit theatres 6th July 2018.
Thor: Ragnarok
As with Black Panther, we got a look at a revised logo for Thor: Ragnarok, as well as confirmation of which characters you can expect recently cast additions to star as. Cate Blanchett will star as Hela, Jeff Goldblum will star as the Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson will star as Valkyrie, and Karl Urban will star as Skurge. They will joined by Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Anthony Hopkins who will be reprising their roles as Thor, Hulk, Loki, Heimdall, and Odin respectively. Thor: Ragnarok will hit theatres 27th October 2017.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2
Expecting a revised logo, and casting confirmations? You guessed right! Elizabeth Debicki will play Ayesha, and Kurt Russell will play Ego the Living Planet. Russell will be playing the human form of Ego, who has been revealed to be Peter Quill’s father, and his costume has been debuted. As to whether we will see Ego in planetary form, there have been no announcements to date. Sylvester Stallone will star in the movie, although his role has yet to be revealed. Guardians will be in theatres from 25th April 2017.
Captain Marvel
At Comic-Con, Kevin Fiege revealed that Brie Larson will play Captain Marvel in the upcoming movie Captain Marvel. Additionally, the logo for the film was revealed. Captain Marvel is currently slated for a 2018 release.

– TV ANNOUNCEMENTS –
Agents of Shield
While we got no trailer for the fourth season of MARVEL’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ghost Rider’s appearance has been confirmed. The show will be adopting the Robbie Reyes version of the character, who will be portrayed by Gabriel Luna (Ture Detective). Head of MARVEL TV, Jeph Loeb has claimed that the fourth season will be the “biggest, most ambitious story yet”, with the introduction of Ghost Rider set to “change everything”. The introduction of Ghost Rider to the show will also serve as a method of connecting Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Doctor Strange. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fourth season will premiere on ABC, 20th September 2016.
Netflix Shows
During the Luke Cage Panel, MARVEL have revealed several details about their upcoming Netflix slate. First up, Luke Cage, will be available starting 20th September. This will be followed by Iron Fist, which will release in 2017. Finally, The Defenders, will also release in 2017 sometime after Iron Fist. Teaser trailers were released for all three shows, which you can watch below.
MARVEL also announced that a third season is in the works for Daredevil, but no other details were revealed.
